We are absolutely thrilled to be using Treehouse Tales at our school and are convinced that by providing such a strong foundation, it will enhance our children's learning. The results achieved by the children taught by Delyth are truly amazing. Not only are the standards of writing improved, but the children are much more aware of grammatical structure and spelling - all this in a fun and creative format!
Headteacher and Educational Consultant
Delyth has succeeded in creating a learning system that is motivational, interesting and effective. It creates a sustainable platform of interest that moves pupils to experiment, to question, to analyse, to compare and to discuss their observations with their peers.

You have removed the obstacles and provided a ladder.

I was so impressed, the speed with which some children's confidence, self-esteem and literacy skills have improved. One boy's reading ability has improved by three years in seven months, and others have been almost as remarkable.

During my visit to the school I had an opportunity to observe you using your resources with the children in the classroom. The enthusiasm and enjoyment exhibited by the boys as well as the girls towards the characters and the activities were very obvious.
By using these resources, you have taken advantage of the opportunities presented to develop language skills, literacy and the children's communication skills through speaking, communicating and listening in a variety of enjoyable, practical activities which build on the children's previous experiences, covering the whole spectrum of learning.
The resources offer opportunities to develop personal and social skills by using role play to discuss and suggest different emotions in a variety of situations. The system encourages interpersonal skills, teaching the children how to help one another, share and work together in problem solving situations. They have an opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of their environment and the wider world.
Early Years Adviser
I remember my visit to your classroom several years ago. There was no doubt that your pupils were learning how to learn, across the curriculum, in the most creative and imaginative way. I well remember the enthusiastic response and achievement of your most able pupils who extended their learning at their own swift pace, far beyond what one would expect in an infant classroom.
I also remember the motivating impact of the stories in the absorbed commitment of less able learners - it's just that they could not be called less able following this approach. Their achievements matched the average expected at the age of 7.Over and above this, the children were equipped to learn independently and avidly in the next stage of their education.
The curriculum content of Treehouse Tales reflects the National Curriculum requirements, but it goes further than this.It brings relevance and enjoyable learning through play. It takes the work of the Desirable Outcomes into Key Stage 1 as a cohesive whole.

Mrs Owen's teaching methods have had a huge impact on Sam's attitude to learning. He has a thirst for knowledge and has become highly motivated and enthusiastic in everything that he does. We find his comprehension of the English language outstanding. Without Mrs Owen's teaching methods he may not have reached his full potential and achieved such a high standard of work.
